BookingMaven is hair salon booking software with a public booking page for your salon. Clients pick a stylist, a service, and an open time, then book as a guest with a name and an email. Services carry real durations, and color services can include processing time so the chair stays free while the color develops. You confirm from the dashboard and clients get confirmation and reminder emails. Start free with one stylist, or use Team for up to five.

Processing time

Build a color service as three phases: color application, color develops, rinse and style. The develop phase does not block the chair, so a trim can slot in while the color sets. Presets cover hair color, highlights, keratin, perm, and deep conditioning.

Per-stylist calendars

Each stylist has a profile with a photo, bio, and specialties, and their own bookings. Clients search by name or specialty. Block time off per stylist from the calendar.

Allergy and sensitivity intake

Switch on a short form that asks about hair dye and PPD, latex, fragrance sensitivities, skin conditions, and medications before the booking is placed. Answers are saved on the booking.

Email confirmations and reminders

Clients get a booking-received email with a Google Calendar link and directions, a confirmation when you accept, and reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before. On every plan.

Consent forms

Create digital consent forms and attach them to services. Clients sign during booking and the signed form stays with the appointment. Solo and up.

Regulars rebook in one tap

Clients with an account see their usual stylist and service on their dashboard with a rebook link that preselects both.

Common questions

How does processing time work?

When you create a color service, turn on processing time and set three phases: hands-on, processing, hands-on. The processing phase is not blocked on the calendar, so the stylist can take a short service in between. The client sees the full duration.

Can different stylists have different prices?

Prices and durations are set per service for the whole salon. Each stylist has their own profile, specialties, and calendar, so clients still book the person they want.

Do I need a website first?

No. Every plan includes a booking page. If you already have a site, paste the embed snippet from the Customize tab and the booking flow runs inside your page.

Can clients rebook the same stylist?

Yes. Clients pick a stylist at booking. With an account, their dashboard lists their regulars with a one-tap rebook link that preselects the stylist and the service.

What is the allergy form?

An optional intake form you switch on in Settings. It asks about hair dye and PPD allergies, latex, fragrance sensitivities, skin conditions, and medications. Clients answer during booking and the answers are saved on the appointment.

How do clients pay?

Clients choose Pay in Person at booking. Connect Stripe in Settings, then use the POS tab to charge a card, record cash, or copy a payment link. Card payments carry a platform fee of 5% on Free, 2.9% on Solo and Team, and 1.9% on Business, plus Stripe processing.

Can I stop clients from booking back to back?

Yes. Set a buffer in minutes between bookings and the slot step you want to offer, for example every 30 minutes. Block time off for lunch or a day out from the calendar.

Can I ask clients to sign a consent form?

Yes, on Solo and up. Build the form in Documents, attach it to the services that need it, and clients sign it during booking.
